In honor of Hoobiyee, our Nisg̱a’a New Year, I created my SAAK design—representing the oolichan, a symbol of renewal and abundance. The return of the SAAK signals the changing seasons, bringing nourishment and prosperity to our people.
This design is a celebration of our connection to the land, the waters, and the cycles that sustain us. As we welcome a new season, may we embrace the renewal, strength, and blessings that come with it.
